First Presbyterian of Houma is merging with its mother Church in Thibodaux. After 160 years of ministry it is time to merge these two historic congregations back into one Church. Our final worship service will be June 4th at 10am. Come and join us to celebrate God’s faithfulness for 160 years.
Know that God proves his care for us when His son dies on the Cross in our place!
First Presbyterian Church of Houma has been the Reformed pressence in Houma for over 160 years.
Yes we belong to a denomination: The Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
NO! We are not exclusive; yet we are grounded in the Essentials of the Faith.
We are a Christian Church run by elders in the biblical model. All of which we do informed by the Reformed Tradition.
Being part of a denomination means that we are part of something older than us, something larger than our local expression, however, we are alive in the Spirit of God today! We hope you will come and join with us.
